November 2017 Partner Letter

Dear Partner,

Let’s begin by reading Ephesians 1:16-23:

  1. Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
  2. That the God of our LORD Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
  3. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
  4. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
  5. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
  6. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
  7. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
  8. Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Now look at Ephesians 2:6:

  1. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Notice from Ephesians 1:16 that this is a prayer with very definite requests.

Let’s look at Ephesians 1:19 again:

  1. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

What is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us believers—you and me? The Father raised up Jesus, FAR above all principality, all power, all might and all dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come. He was raised far above every name—every good name, every bad name. Whatever it is, Jesus, by the mighty power of the living God, has been raised up to sit with Him far above it. Well, so what, Brother Paul? What does that mean to me? What does that mean to you? Verses 22-23 tell us: “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his BODY, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

That’s what the Apostle Paul was praying by the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. Now read Ephesians 2:6 again. In the heart and mind of the Father, He not only raised Jesus up to that place at His right hand of authority, He raised us up, you and me, to sit with Him at the right hand of Jesus on the throne of grace. It is imperative for every born-again believer to know and fully understand what Jesus said in Matthew 28:18: “All power [or authority] is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Then He said, “You go.” Isn’t that wonderful? He immediately delegated the authority given to Him in earth to His Body—His fullness.

Now let’s go to Ephesians 3:14-15:

  1. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our LORD Jesus Christ,
  2. Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.

The whole family, both in heaven and in earth, is named after the Father!

“Wait a minute, Brother Copeland. That’s after Jesus, right?”

No. Let’s look first at Hebrews 1:3-4:

  1. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by The WORD of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
  2. Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Now go to Philippians 2:9-11:

  1. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a [His] name which is above every name:
  2. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things [names] in heaven, and things [names] in earth, and things [names] under the earth;
  3. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father.

After learning what we’ve learned from Ephesians 1:16-23 and 2:6, this really opens up our understanding to what the Holy Spirit is saying here in Philippians 2, especially in verses 5-6. Read it very carefully:

  1. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
  2. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

“Let this mind be in you.” This is a way of thinking that religion and the carnal mind cannot tolerate. But, oh, the spirit of believers like you and me can shout about it!

Go back and read Ephesians 1:16-23 and 2:6 again. Then read Ephesians 3:14-15, but don’t stop there. Finish the chapter:

  1. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our LORD Jesus Christ,
  2. Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
  3. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
  4. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
  5. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
  6. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
  7. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
  8. Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

How can you just sit there? “Equal with GOD”? I didn’t say that. THE BIBLE says that! “FILLED with all the FULLNESS of GOD”? Now read verse 20 again. Read it OUT LOUD, and let what the Holy Spirit is saying about you sink in. You and I are the us in verse 20:

  1. NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US.

This is the reason the Father had the apostle praying these prayers. Do you remember seeing these scripture references somewhere? Sure you do. They’re at the bottom of this letter. When we pray them for you each day, we’re doing the same thing he was doing: “We pray that the God of our LORD Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto our Partners the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.”

Pray this for yourself every day, and please pray it for all of us here at KCM and EMIC.

“But, Brother Copeland, I really need prayer for my finances!”

You just did that in Ephesians 1:18. You’re a joint heir with the One who owns all things. Your Father created all things. Your Brother inherited them, and you sit in His authority over them. Every time you sow into this ministry, your seed is received and prayed over. Don’t just send it and forget about it. Water it with praise, and harvest the increase by agreeing with all of us. We love you. You’re family! Think about that. What’s it like to be a family of 1 million? Wow!

Love,

Ken

P.S. SOW IT FORWARD! Be a blessing. Pass this letter on to a family member or friend.
