August 2018 Partner Letter

Dear Partner,

God's Word Stirs Up Your Faith!

Isn’t faith a wonderful thing? Think about it. The very faith of God Himself is in your born-again spirit right now. It’s just waiting there, along with hope and love, to serve you and bring to pass the desires of your heart. That brings to mind what Jesus said in Mark 11:24:

  1. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

OK, so faith is in your born-again spirit, but how is it activated? To answer that question, let’s go to Romans 10:17:

  1. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by The WORD of God.

One could say, then, that faith is stirred up by hearing, and hearing by The WORD of God. There’s no such thing as faith that won’t come. The WORD of God stirs up faith the way heat stirs up water. There’s no such thing as water that won’t boil. In the same way that water is still and inactive without heat, faith is still and inactive without hearing, and hearing, and hearing The WORD of God.

When faith boils over, the desired end results come. That’s when healings manifest and financial breakthroughs come.

Look now at verse 10:

  1. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

When faith gets stirred up, it “boils” up into your mouth. Then when your words become filled with GOD’s faith, wonderful things happen—especially when you use your faith to minister to someone else. Remember these two rules: Rule No. 1: Faith-filled words dominate the laws of sin and death. Rule No. 2: What you do unto others will be done to you. Ephesians 6:8 bears that out:

  1. Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of The LORD, whether he be bond or free.

Back to the main line of thought: No heat, no boil. No WORD, no faith. Ten percent WORD, 10 percent, or less, faith. Ten percent faith, 10 percent results. Fifty percent faith, 50 percent results. One hundred percent faith, or total immersion in The WORD, 100 percent results. That’s the definition of “walking by faith” or “the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17). With 100 percent faith, or total immersion in The WORD, you just don’t get sick in the first place. That’s living in divine health.

I remember when Gloria and I first heard Kenneth E. Hagin say that he had not had even a headache or been sick since he was healed as a teenager while standing in faith on Mark 11:23-24. We could hardly believe it. But through the years, we’ve learned how to do that by faith. That doesn’t mean we’ve not been attacked. We have. Just last January during the 2018 Ministers’ Conference, all the symptoms of the flu came on my body. Suddenly, during a morning service, I began to have cold chills and all the other nasty stuff that comes with it. You know, of course, what the devil said to my mind: “You’re taking the flu.”

I answered with faith: “No, I’m not!” I acted on Ephesians 6:14 and stood against it, refusing to take it. Every symptom left within the hour! That was the first time flu symptoms had come on me in years. I don’t remember the last time I even had a cold. Stay in The WORD until faith fills up, and keep it there. It takes a lot of drops to fill a cup, but it only takes one more drop to run it over.

What else will run the cup over? Thanksgiving and praise. That very phrase in Psalm 23, “My cup runneth over,” came as David praised and worshipped God.

Look at Philippians 4:4, and then verses 6-7 in the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition:

  1. Rejoice in The LORD always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!
  2. Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
  3. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Doesn’t that stir up your heart and your faith? Those are words of Love from Love Himself—Jesus! Well, I did it again. I’ve preached or, in this case, I’ve written myself happy!

Don’t just sit there! Start praising Him, now. Take your BLESSING seed in your hand, and praise and worship before The LORD Jesus, thanking Him for giving you His faith and teaching you how to use it. Thank Him for what He’s doing right now to exalt you in great victory over all your enemy, satan, has tried to put on you. Then laugh and sing this to the devil: “HA, HA, HA! ACCORDING TO JAMES 4:7, devil, I RESIST YOU, IN THE NAME Of JESUS. SO FLEE—NOW! BYE-BYE! GREATER IS HE WHO IS IN ME THAN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD!” Praise and dance around until joy comes. Oh, it will come: It’s like faith. It always comes, and it’s your strength.

Well, I’d like to continue this today, but I have to close for now! Gloria and I love you so very much.

Hey, don’t forget to pray and believe with us for the opening of KENNETH COPELAND BIBLE COLLEGE™, Aug. 27. We are all so excited about this—a country boy like me from West Texas with my name on a college. Jesus is soooo good!

As I have said so many times: God loves you, and we love you and pray for you every day.

Love,

Ken
